In the Picture::May

Honest to goodness - does anyone know where May went?
I hit a large pot hole on the road to 52 self portaits in May.  I'm kinda sad to say that the pot hole was hit at the beginning of the month and totally bounced me off the road.  I have ONE - only ONE self portrait for May.  Christy, Urban Muser, picked such an awesome theme for this month - Big World, Tiny You.  But even so... only one to show and it doesn't even follow the theme..

Want to see my list of excuses?  It starts with #1 = busy.  Really?  is that my #1 excuse?
Enough whining.. I have work to do to get caught up now - like double the amount in June.  Time to get busy in a postive way.  Sending good postive thoughts out into the Universe for motivation behind photography for June.  Thanks to Christy for hosting {In The Picture}.  I can't wait to see what everyone else accomplished in May.  Hit the button below and hop around to see some pretty fine self portraits.

  5. One photo, but one great photo, right? Fantastic light and contrasts. No clue where May went either. Why does this not happen in January?
    Not to worry about not hitting the theme ( I almost didn't)...you can always incorporate it another time. I'm still trying to work February's word thing into some images. For some reason, it just doesn't seem to happen.
    Have a great weekend. Surely June will be more calm if you've put that out to the universe.

  15. Marji, this is a great photo. And you're forgiven for the one face in May. :-) One is better than none, so there. Love this photo, the monotone color, the simple pieces around you - especially that vase. Thanks for sharing. xoxo

  24. Oh I am sooooooo with you on hitting a big road block in May with this project! I've only got the one post myself. Oh well. I just lacked motivation in this one area...no other excuse, blech! I really like this entire composition tho...and the editing choice is fabulous!

  25. Aha... you might think it doesn't fit the theme but it sorta does. Your meditation pose evokes your connection with the whole Universe. Can't get a bigger world than that. Congratulations... potholes and all.

  26. hey - it happens and it's totally okay. the fact that you're attempting it {and going to keep on attempting it} is what matters. in the meantime this shot is so perfect with your theme of "sending good positive thoughts out into the universe for motivation." i'm sending positive thoughts back! :)
