Breaks, Water Soluble Oil Paint and More Faces
This past week I've been working more with the water soluble oil paints. I'm figuring them out. I'm also getting a better feel for painting faces and the ability to see in terms of values. Taking the time to stop the norm for me and settle in to learning and studying is a great break and a beneficial one.
My break is coming to an end and Christmas is just around the corner. Wishing you all Happy Holidays to you and your families.

These are amazing! I need to spend time working with value so I can learn to see in it- that is something I really struggle with!
ReplyDeleteI just love them both - they're so striking. I haven't tried water soluble oil paint, but now I'm tempted! I think the texture of the paper really adds to them as well..

ReplyDeleteThese are stunning! I love the effect that the water soluble oils has - they look like a cross between pastels and wax crayons almost - beautifully soft. The girl with the beret is stunning!
